The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS RF) has begun an independent price check on iPhone X in Russia transmits RNS. This means that all actions to identify collusion will be carried out by the efforts of employees of the department without the involvement of Apple and partner companies involved in the sale of proprietary technology.
img According to RNS, events related to checking retail prices for iPhone X in Russian stores, started last week and will last until their completion. By law, such a check can last a whole month with the possibility of extension, if such a need arises, up to three months.
We wrote on FAS intentions to check the Russian prices on iPhone X on November 6, three days after the start of sales of the model. According to representatives of the department, one of the consumers who saw the pattern in forming prices for a smartphone in several retail networks addressed them with a corresponding statement.
Earlier this year, FAS found Apple guilty of colluding with retailers on the case about price coordination on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. As a result of the audit, it became known that the initiative to keep prices on smartphones at the same level came from the Apple Rus employee and was not authorized by the senior management.
